Elaine and Gareth planned their intimate Bribie Island wedding day all the way from their home in Dubai. When I first spoke to Elaine over Skype, the first thing I noticed was her beautiful accent and the way her voice sounded so warm and kind. Meeting Elaine and Gareth a few days before the wedding confirmed for me just how kind and easygoing the pair were and I was instantly excited to capture their big day.
The ceremony took place in Vietnam Veterans Park at Bribie Island. Elaine had the biggest grin on her face throughout the entire day and it was easy to see why Gareth mentioned how much he loves her smile in his vows. Their parents presented hand made quilts to Elaine and Gareth during the ceremony, which showed off special photos and memories from each of their lives. Elaine and Gareth then joined the quilts together to symbolise the joining of their lives – it was a very unique and heartfelt touch.
I absolutely loved that the most important thing to Elaine and Gareth was to just have a relaxed day focused on celebrating with their family and friends. It was an absolute pleasure to capture those big grins, laughter and silly faces (you’ll see what I’m talking about soon!).
Thanks so much guys for choosing me to capture your special memories. I had a blast.
Much love and appreciation,
